UK: Volkswagen Group to Cut 60% of Combustion Engine Cars by 2030

The automobile company ‘Volkswagen Group’ is having big electric vehicle plans and the targets of the company has also been well established and it has been known for some time now. But in the ambitious move of the company for the purpose taking on the likes of Tesla, which has been the current electric vehicles leader in the world.

The company is also going ahead for the purpose of replacing the fleet of the conventional vehicles along with those vehicles that are powered by the battery. Arno Antlitz, CFO of the Volkswagen Group has also highlighted how it might all be boiling down to the quality over the quantity and also cutting down on how many vehicles powered by the petrol and diesel that have been manufactured.

There had been around 100 models under the brand portfolio of the Volkswagen Group, which is either powered by a petrol engine, along with a diesel motor or with both options, and for the CFO of the company, it might also be focusing on the quality and on the margins other than on the market share and volume.

He also said that, they main target is not growth, and the plan has been for decreasing on the conventional models over the course of the upcoming eight years. But it might also be a change of the course in the terms of the past strategy for the purpose of becoming the largest car manufacturing company in the world.
