Engie North America, renewable energy developing company has been bolstering the pipeline of the company of the solar energy and storage projects in the United States by acquiring the US operations of Photosol, a French renewable energy developer.
As a part of the transaction Engie North America is going to be acquiring 17 solar and energy storage projects in the early stage development, which has been spread across ten different states of the United States and is located in the multiple regional grids like the Southwest Power Pool (SPP), ERCOT (Texas), and the Western Interconnection (WECC).
The team from the US branch of the company ‘Photosol’ is going to be integrated into the Engie North America, and Dave Carroll, chief renewable officer at Engie North America said, the projects has been representing the excellent greenfield opportunities for the energy storage and solar energy for the purpose of helping them to accelerate their journey towards the net-zero target.
The team at Photosol is going to be bringing the great experience, and the insight and further agility to their business in the region of North America and they are now delighted for having the opportunity for coming together.
The company ‘Engie North America’ has been currently operating the 4 gigawatts of the renewable energy across the region of North America along with a double digit growth for the year 2022. In December 2021, Rubis, fuel Distribution Company has entered the market of solar energy by acquiring around 80 percent stake in the Photosol.
