Pfizer and BioNTech are seeking for the emergency use authorization (EUA) from the US FDA for a third dose of the company’s mRNA vaccine for all the adult population in the United States. The US FDA is also going to consider the request with reconvening an expert panel, as it had been done in the past, when the panel had voted for the recommendations for the novel corona virus booster for the people, who are above 65 years of age along with several other categories of the people.
If the covid-19 vaccine booster shots got the authorization then the shots can possibly be offered before the Thanksgiving, and currently, around 69 percent of the adult recipients of the Pfizer novel corona virus vaccine has been qualified for a booster dose, but the new data from Israel has been suggesting that, the waning immunity after the vaccination has been affecting all the receivers of the vaccine regardless of their age.
The covid-19 data tracker of the US CDC has been showing that, around 58.5 percent people of the United States are now fully vaccinated against the novel corona virus, and around 67.5 percent of the people has now received at least one dose of the novel corona virus vaccine, and around 13 percent of the fully vaccinated people of the United States have now received a booster dose of the novel corona virus vaccine, and over 70 percent of the adult population of the United States are now fully vaccinated.
