The Automobile company ‘Nissan’ is now seeking to a target for achieving more than 40 percent of the total car sales of the company in the United States to be electric vehicles before 2030 ends, and the company ‘Nissan Motor’ has also announced that, it has been aiming to achieve the carbon neutrality across the operations of the company along with the life cycles of the products of Nissan by 2050.
According to the new plans of the company, every vehicle that will be coming out of the production facilities of Nissan are going to be electrified by 2030, and the company had also announced that, the intention of Nissan for bringing the affordable electric vehicle to the masses across the world when the company has launched the electric car Leaf in the year 2010.
Jeremie Papin, chairperson of Nissan Americas said, with the car Leaf, the company has been able to show its pioneering spirt in the electric vehicle, and currently with over half-million pure electric vehicles sold, and more than 5 billion electric miles have been driven on the roads across the world, the company is providing help in leading the revolution of the electric vehicles.
Jeremie Papin also said, it has been very critical for having the government and the industry to work together for the purpose of advancing the adoption of the electric vehicles by the consumers, along with the support of manufacturing and infrastructure for the purpose of getting the next generation of the electrified mobility on the roads of the country.
