Infosys Launched Automotive Digital Technology Centre in Germany

On Tuesday, 20th July 2021, Infosys Ltd has launched an automotive digital technology and innovation centre in the region of Stuttgart, Germany, as a part of the country’s strategic commitment for the purpose of driving the innovation and IT infrastructure transformation in the industry.

Through the new automotive digital centre, the company ‘Infosys’ is going to be supporting Daimler AG, one of the leading automobile company in Germany, along with strengthening the company’s data centre and IT infrastructure, and in 2020, Infosys has also been able to win the company’s largest deal ever from the company ‘Daimler’ at an estimated value of 3 billion dollars for around eight years.

As a part of the partnership, the experts in the automobile IT infrastructure, that are based in Germany are going to be transitioning from the company Daimler AG to the innovation and digital centre, and this centre is also expected to provide the customers with some of the most necessary tools for the purpose of meeting the increasing demand for the electric vehicles in the country.

Infosys has been aiming to create a gold standard for the automobile and manufacturing companies of Germany for the purpose of accelerating and standardizing the adoption of technology, and Infosys said, it is also going to provide innovation and training labs and will also be focusing on the transformation of the industry, that includes the infrastructure required for designing advance and future technologies like electrification, automation and artificial intelligence.

Infosys also said, the new centre is also going to adhere the commitment of the company towards leveraging the resources like data centre, which operates on 100 percent renewable energy and zero consumption of water.
