US: General Motors to Invest $72 Million to Build Design and Technology Campus

On Tuesday, 13th July 2021, the automobile giant General Motors said, it is going to invest 71 million dollars for the purpose of building a new technology and design campus in the region of Pasadena, California, US, for the expansion of the company’s capacity in the advanced technologies like the lunar rover vehicles and flying cars.

The campus is now going to be used for the advanced design centre operations of General Motors, that is going to be focusing on the development of the future mobility projects and concept, which is currently falling outside of the scope of the existing programs for the production vehicles.

The company ‘General Motors’ said, the design and technology campus are going to include immersive technology capabilities and an innovation lab, which are going to include the virtual and augmented reality. The automobile company General Motors also said, this new campus is now closer to the technology centres on the West Coast, and it is also responsible to create recruiting opportunity with the proximity of the company to some of the leading universities, along with the design schools.
