Texas Based ‘The Woodlands’, experts in specialty elastomers from the Huntsman have successfully developed a new thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade for the blown film applications and technical extrusion parts, which main offers the significant improvements over some of the past technologies when it comes to the production efficiency, reducing manufacturing waste and durability.
IROGRAN® A 85 P 4394 HR TPU has been the latest addition to an established family of the products of elastomer from the Huntsman, that are famous for their performance in the different range of the consumer and industrial applications. The IROGRAN® A 85 P 4394 HR TPU is having more tensile strength than the standard IROGRAN® A 85 P 4394 elastomer grade, which was originally developed in 2004, and it has been established with the partnership of the customers of Huntsman.
The new IROGRAN® A 85 P 4394 HR TPU grade also provides the high melting strength and improve film extrusion quality, that is responsible for making it more ideal for the blown films applications, and it is also helpful for decreasing the scrap rates significantly, along with reducing the waste in the blown film processing and improve the throughput of manufacturing.
IROGRAN® A 85 P 4394 HR TPU has been mainly developed for the purpose of solving the problems of the customers in the different types of markets including, the TPU laying the flat hoses, that are being used in the high-pressure municipal and industrial applications like firefighting, etc., and also in the lamination of textile, as a waterproof and breathable layer for the rugged performance apparel.
