AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson to Research on Modification of Covid-19 Vaccine

According to the reports, the two pharmaceutical giants AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson are now going to conduct an early research in whether the modifications of their respective novel corona virus vaccines could be able to eliminate or decrease the risk associated to the rare blood clots linked to the corona virus vaccine shots.

According to the reports, the outside scientists and Oxford University, partner of AstraZeneca, had also been involved in the efforts, and both Johnson and Johnson and AstraZeneca did not respond immediately for giving any comments.

The novel corona virus vaccines of both the companies have been linked to the risk associated with the blood clots, even though the drug regulators have said that, the benefits of the corona virus vaccines have largely been outweighing the risks.

The company Johnson and Johnson said, the company supports the continued analysis and research as they have been working with the global health authorities and medical experts. Johnson and Johnson also said, the company will remain committed to provide help in ending this corona virus pandemic as early as possible, and they have been continuing to believe in the positive profile of their covid-19 vaccine.

AstraZeneca said, the company is actively working with the scientific community and regulators for the purpose of understanding such type of rare blood clots, which is also including the information required to drive the early diagnosis, along with proper treatment and intervention.

The reports also say, the modification of the novel corona virus vaccines might be requiring the changes to the rights of ownership and also approvals from the regulatory.
