Government Lifts Covid-19 Restrictions in United Kingdom

On 19th January 2022, the government of the United Kingdom has announced that, the corona virus restrictions that were imposed in the country in the month of December 2022 for the purpose of tackling the increase in the Omicron covid-19 variant cases are going to be lifted as the corona virus infections has been on the peak.

The guidance that was advising the people to work from home had been lifted immediately, and from next week, the people of the United Kingdom will not have to wear face masks in any areas and they will also not need a covid-19 pass for the purpose of entering the venues like the night clubs.

Boris Johnson, prime minister of the United Kingdom said that, the covid-19 booster campaign of the United Kingdom has been responsible for making the change possible, and he also said that, over 36 million booster corona virus vaccine jabs had been delivered along with more than 90 percent of the people above 60 years of age has now received a third dose as the number of the cases are decreasing.

Boris Johnson also said, their scientists also believe that, it has likely been that the Omicron covid-19 variant wave has now reached its peak, he encourage everyone in the United Kingdom for continuing with all the needful precautions that they know for keeping everyone safe.
