The automobile company ‘Volkswagen’ has now revealed a new feature for the company’s Car-Net connected vehicle service, that will be letting the owners of the cars to get 4G data from two of the big telecom companies of the United States, and this new feature is called as ‘Carrier of Choice’, and it has been offering the option of T-Mobile and Verizon, that will be making it relatively more easy for adding the vehicle to the existing mobile data plan.
The feature is going to start in the month of September, and the owners of the Volkswagen vehicles in the United States are going to be able to access the options of subscription on the official website of Volkswagen and also through the mobile app of Volkswagen, and from there, the people can add an account to their current mobile internet provider and pair it with the current Car-Net subscription of Volkswagen.
The Car-Net is responsible for offering the care features like the remote start, along with the locking and unlocking the vehicle, status, teen driver alerts, maintenance and much more, and those features can also be accessed remotely from both the Android and iPhone with the help of using the updated mobile application of Volkswagen.
This feature is also going to offer the WiFi hotspot connectivity with the unlimited connectivity of 4G for around four devices, and apart from all of these features, the company is also going to allow the customers to access the TIDAL and iHeart Radio media streaming applications along with a paid subscription.
