According to the report, the automobile company ‘Volkswagen’ is intending to switch the manual transmission gear in the upcoming car models of the company from 2030, and as the automobile company has been aiming to go all-electric, it is also being suggested that, this move of Volkswagen might be an attempt for decreasing the costs used for the expenses of electrification.
In the future, the vehicles of Volkswagen along with an automatic gear system might become a norm for the brand in the company’s biggest market like China, Europe and North America, and it is also being stated that, the choice of giving priority of Volkswagen from the direct-shift gear box to a manual transmission along with the elimination of the clutch peal, which might started from 2023 when the company has been slated to launch the third generation of Tiguan.
The report also said, a review, which has been responsible for showing that, from a total of 5,838 models across all the automobile manufacturers, only 1,870 vehicles with the manual gear transmission are now currently available in Germany, and among these vehicles, 218 vehicles are with the five-speed and 1,652 are with the six-speed transmission is also going to be available.
According to the report, it is also going to be believed that, the new Volkswagen Tiguan compact crossover can also be responsible for featuring an automatic gearbox, and it is also going to be speculated that, the Volkswagen Passat is also going to come with the automatic transmission.
