US DOE Announces $83-million Scheme to Save on Energy Bills

The Department of Energy (DOE) of the United States of America has launched a scheme of 83 million dollars for the purpose of improving the efficiency of the energy of the buildings, and it is also going to be helping the customers to save some amount on the bills of the energy.

Jennifer Granholm, secretary of energy of the United States said, the people of the United States generally spend around 100 billion dollars every year on the energy that has been wasted from the building and residential apartments in the country, along with the units used for heating and cooling and also increasing the bills of energy and the emissions that are responsible in polluting the air and make the climate crisis worse in the country.

The developers or producers of the technology used for storing the thermal energy and the efficient air conditioners that have been responsible in promising the saving to around 85 percent of the energy as compared to the conventional energy saving systems, that are going to be among the 44 beneficiaries of the grant of 83 million dollars across the United States of America.

According to the official data from the Department of Energy (DOE) of the United States, the commercial and residential buildings in the country are accounting for more than one-third portion of the emissions of the carbon dioxide, which the United States of America releases every year, and the country also consumes 40 percent of the energy in the country and around 75 percent of the total electricity produced in the country.
