The government of United Kingdom has introduced a new research for stepping up the resilience of the United Kingdom against the impacts of the climate change, that has also been including the heatwaves, flooding, and extreme weather storms, has now successfully made it possible by the launch of a new research program worth 5 million pounds on 6th August 2021.
The research program known as ‘Climate Services for a Net Zero Resilient World, that is going to provide help for the purpose of informing the future climate policy and it is also going to be led by a consortium of some of the leading authorities in the environmental science like the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology and the University College London.
The research is also going to make sure that, United Kingdom is going to be able to respond to the impacts of a continuously warming planet is going to have on the infrastructure of the country, and the research also include the heatwaves that are causing the increase in the temperature in the buildings.
The research program is also going to engage with some of the local authorities on the climate action plans by equipping them with the recorded information on how to provide the help to the households for coping with the rising temperatures along with helping the authorities of United Kingdom for identifying the measures like low carbona and low costs.
This program is also going to provide the models for how the country can decrease the emissions of carbon dioxide globally.
