On Tuesday, 20th July 2021, Dr. Anthony Fauci, infectious disease expert in US said, the Delta variant of the novel corona virus is the main reason behind the cause of over 80 percent of the new corona virus cases in the country, but the authorized novel corona virus vaccine has remained over 90 percent effective for the purpose of preventing the deaths and hospitalizations in the country.
Dr. Anthony Fauci also said, the approved novel corona virus vaccines of the country are successfully more than 90 percent and efficient in lowering the number of hospitalizations and deaths related to the novel corona virus.
Dr. Anthony Fauci has made the statement during the United States Senate hearing, and the hearing have also been able to feature a heated conversation between Dr. Anthony Fauci and Rand Paul, Republican Senator of Unites States, during which Rand Paul has accused Anthony Fauci of lying about the National Institute of Health for sponsoring the research at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology.
In the United States of America, the origins of the novel corona virus have become a political thing, along with the republicans, which are calling for more investigation into whether the corona virus had been firstly created in China’s Wuhan.
According to Rochelle Walensky, director of US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of United States said, the deaths related to the novel corona virus in the country are now standing at an average of 239 deaths per day over the past week, which is around 48 percent from the previous weeks.
