The competitors of BMW including Audi has launched three new fully-electric models and Mercedes-Benz have released three electric cars as well, and BMW have launched two but they have not yet hit the road, although, Oliver Zipse, CEO of BMW has promised that, four new fully electric cars are going to be launched in the time of just 2 years,
Oliver Zipse said, they are now fully committed to the electric cars, wherever the use of the battery-electric drive is making sense, and it has also been possible due to the right conditions, and according to the reports, all the four cars of BMW are going to be the all-electric MINI Countryman, X1, 7 Series and 5 Series, and the first ones to be launched are going to be the BMW 7 Series and he BMW X1, that are said for going fully-electric in the year 2022.
Oliver Zipse said, by the year 2023, they are going to offer their customers at least one option of BEV in around all the vehicle segments of BMW and over the upcoming 10 years, the company is going to be aiming to release a total of around 10-million fully electric vehicle in the car market.
