Johnny Depp returns as Jack Sparrow to Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise

According to the reports, Johnny Depp is all set to return to the Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise as Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp, who made his debut as Jack Sparrow back in 2003, has been rumoured to be back in the franchise. The actor was sacked from the movie franchise in 2018 after the bosses of Disney said that they wanted to bring new energy to the franchise.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Disney bosses were keen to bring Johnny Depp back for a sixth movie, and a spin-off series to air on Disney+ in a 300 million dollars deal. Disney has reportedly expressed interest in bringing Johnny Depp back after he won his defamation suit against ex-wife Amber Heard, in June 2022.

According to reports, Johnny Depp is due to have a test shoot in the United Kingdom in February 2023, and the working title of the upcoming film will be A Day At The Sea.

Johnny Depp is all set to return and is scheduled to start shooting at the beginning of February 2023 at a secret location in the United Kingdom. Everything is in the early stages and there is still no director attached to the new project called A Day At The Sea.

The announcement comes after Johnny Depp said that he would not be open to returning to the franchise in the future during his defamation trial.
