AFI Honors Nicole Kidman with Life Achievement Award

The American Film Institute (AFI) will honour Hollywood star Nicole Kidman with AFI’s 49^th Lifetime Achievement Award. 55 year old Nicole Kidman is the first Australian actor to receive this award, the highest honour for making a career in film, celebrating Kidman’s career achievements so far.

According to AFI, the lifetime achievement award will be presented to Kidman at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on June 10, 2023. Nicole Kidman has enchanted audiences for decades with the glamour of a screen icon. She is a force both brave and bold in her choices and each performance, and AFI is honoured to present her with the 49^th AFI Life Achievement Award, said chair of the AFI Board of Trustees, Kathleen Kennedy.

Some of Nicole Kidman’s movie credits are Moulin Rouge! Dead Calm, Days of Thunder, Cold Mountain, Aquaman, Eyes Wide Shut, among others. Nicole Kidman is a five-time Academy Award nominee, who also won the Oscar for best actress in a leading role for her transformational turn as the Virginia Woolf in The Hours in 2003.

The actress is also the recipient of one BAFTA Award, two Emmys for the movie Big Little Lies, and six Golden Globe awards, and she also co-founded Blossom Films, a production company in 2010. She has also won London’s Evening Standard Award and was also nominated in the best actress category for a Laurence Olivier Award.
