US Government Offered $450 Million for Clean Energy Projects at Coal Fields

President Joe Biden’s organization is making $450 million accessible for sunlight-based ranches and other clean energy projects the nation over at the site of current or previous coal mineshafts, part of his continuous endeavors to battle environmental change.

The White House announced on Tuesday that the infrastructure law for 2021 will provide funding for five projects across the country, two of which will be solar farms. In addition to the investment and production tax credits made available by the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, the White House stated that it will permit developers of clean energy projects to take advantage of new bonuses worth billions of dollars.

The rewards will boost all the more perfect energy interest in energy networks, especially coal networks,’ that have been wounded by 10 years in addition to decrease in US coal creation, the White House said. As the Democratic president moves to switch the US economy to renewable energy sources like wind and solar power and away from coal and other fossil fuels that emit greenhouse gases that warm the planet, the Biden administration is taking a number of steps in this direction.

Biden visited a site in Massachusetts where a former coal-fired power plant is switching to offshore wind power, which serves as the model for the projects. Biden emphasized the former Brayton Point power plant in Somerset, Massachusetts, describing it as the model for the clean energy transition he wants to make but has had trouble achieving in his first two years in office.
