ORIX Corporation USA (ORIX USA) announced the completion of an equity investment by its Strategic Solutions group in a 150 megawatt wind power farm located in Texas. The wind power farm consists of 75 wind energy turbines that mainly supply electricity to communities in Carson and Armstrong counties and surrounding areas.
This transaction is the first investment of ORIX USA in wind energy in the United States and represents the growing focus of the platform on renewables through strategic and innovative investments in solar, biofuel, and wind energy projects.
Neil Winward, head of the Strategic Solutions group of ORIX USA, said ORIX Group has a powerful track record of actively supporting global decarbonisation across a variety of sustainable asset classes.
Many businesses are shifting toward clean energy initiatives with the new United States Inflation Reduction Act, and ORIX USA is also prepared to meet increasing demands for experienced investors to provide capital to companies. Wind energy still remains an integral component of the sustainable energy transition, so ORIX USA looks further to expand its global efforts.
