Brakes Revives Help to Counteract Cost Pressures for Hospitality

Brakes, UK wholesaler has revived its help for hospitality campaign, which was launched in 2021 to help foodservice operators recovering from novel corona virus lockdowns. The initiative generated around 2 million pounds in cashback, which had been returned to customers in rewards and has also donated to charity.

The hospitality industry has got a huge relief when the novel corona virus lockdown was lifted, but it was not long lived with the onslaught of increasing costs, increasing energy costs, rising inflation and continuous challenges with labour shortages and wages.

Help for Hospitality fund of Brakes is designed to give relief to business in all industries starting from pubs, bakeries, and restaurants to the care homes and independent schools. The customers benefit from a 10 percent online cashback on main categories including snacks, bakery, meat, and wine, along with hundreds of Cashback Extras, which are backed up by the regular and monthly promotions on over 500 products.

The customers can also choose to redeem their cashback as Brakes credit on the future orders and choosing to donate it to a list of charities, which is including UNICEF, Hospitality Action, Hospitality Health, and Alzheimer’s Society. Paul Nieduszynski, chief commercial officer of Sysco GB, parent company of Brakes, said for many businesses, it has been an incredibly difficult period with very brief periods of respite.
