Sources: Toyota Planning to launch SUV Version of Crown Sedan

Toyota Motor Corp has been aiming to launch a sport utility vehicle versions of the company’s Crown sedan for the countries like China, North America and Japan. The company has been producing its Crown sedan for around seven decades and this model from Toyota has remained the most popular in the Japanese market.

Toyota is planning to bring this new SUV car in the fully electric, plug-in hybrid and hybrid versions, and according to the reports, Toyota is now planning to sell the hybrid Crown SUV in the upcoming year and this version is going to be exported to the markets like North America and China.

According to the reports, the company is also intending to sell the plug-in hybrid version of the SUV in the company’s domestic market, and the fully electric version of the Toyota Crown SUV might be seeing the light in early 2024, although, the Japanese automobile company is yet to finalise the export plans for shared resources.

As a part of the overhaul plans of Toyota, the company is also going to be launching a fully remodelled sedan version of the Crown this year and both the SUV and sedan is going to be manufactured at the factories in the Toyota City based in Japan. The plan is to bring various versions of the car model and when the car will be developed in the form of SUV has been showing seriousness of Toyota towards playing the game in electrification.
