US Treasury Reveals Climate Change Action Plan

On 7^th October 2021, the United States Department of Treasury has launched the new Treasury Climate Action Plan, that has been representing the efforts of the US Treasury for the purpose of bolstering the adaption and increasing the resilience of the Treasury’s facilities and operations to the devastating impacts of the climate change.

Speaking on the new plan, Janet Yellen, US secretary of Treasury said, the climate change has not been just a spectre on the horizon, which has been a problem for the future generations, and it has also been a present challenge, and they all should adopt the plan.

Janet Yellen also said, the climate action plan of the US Treasury has been laying out how their department should start to change the way and they have also been working so that, even as they have been facing the continuously increasing effects of the climate change, along with their ability for serving the people of the United States.

The US Treasury said that, it has also been anticipating that, the climate change is going to be continuing to be a significant challenge across the globe and the aspects of the mission of the US Treasury, along with the operations are also going to be impacted by the warming, along with the increase in the sea level, increased frequency and intensity of the major events of weather and also the impacts on the availability of the energy.

The US Treasury also said, it is also going to follow the data and science of the climate change for the purpose of adjusting the programs, policies, and activities for improving the adaption and resilience to the impacts and risks associated with the climate.
