Osprey Charging to Invest 75 million pounds in Charging Infrastructure of UK

Osprey Charging, a charging company based in the United Kingdom is going to be investing 75 million pounds into the electric charging infrastructure of the country by opening around 150 electric vehicle charging hubs in the next four years.

The company ‘Osprey Charging’ has been aiming to install a total of 1500 chargers across the country, and the charging units will be charging at a rate of 150 kW to 175 kW and the units are going to be positioned adjacent to the motorways and A-roads. The company said, each charging hub is going to be making use of the Kempower technology for the first time in the United Kingdom, that has been responsible in allowing them for the improved power distribution, when the chargers will be in demand.

The chargers are also going to be 74 percent smaller than the usual size, which will be increasing the accessibility, and the technology is also to be optimising the load-balancing, which means that, a higher number of the fast chargers can possibly be installed per site along with high average charging speed.

Ian Johnston, chief executive officer of Osprey Charging said, the market of electric vehicles is now booming, along with the sales of more than 117 percent year on year and the adoption of electric vehicles is continuing to grow exponentially, and the company is hoping that the charging hubs will be helping them to make the charging anxiety a past thing among the potential drivers of electric vehicle.
