Reddit Bans Forum of Covid-19 Misinformation after Protest ‘go dark’

The company Reddit has now banned a discussion forum, that is responsible in spreading the misinformation about the novel corona virus vaccines after a rebellion of the users over the failure of the site for the purpose of tackling the novel corona virus sceptics.

The online discussion site ‘Reddit’ have acted after 135 communities of Reddit have announced that, they had now gone dark, which has been a move that is responsible in blocking the non-members of the site from reading, in a protest at the refusal of the site for the purpose of limiting the discussions that have been propagated by the misleading theories about the novel corona virus pandemic.

The company ‘Reddit’ has initially refused for banning the 135 communities that are identified as spreading the wrong covid-19 information, but the company has also bowed to the pressure by announcing that, it had removed the r/NoNewNormal, that is having 124,000 subscribers and it is also containing the posts, that have been warning against taking the novel corona virus vaccine because of breaking the rules that have been related to interfering with the other harassing subreddits.

Reddit also said, the community ‘r/NoNewNormal had been the source of around 80 brigades in the past one month, and this behaviour has been continued even after the warning, that had been issued, and the community group has also announced that, it had now restricted an additional 54 communities, which means that, it has flagged the content of the group.
