ESB Acquires UK’s Energy Retailer ‘So Energy’

The company ESB has purchased So Energy, energy supplier of United Kingdom for the purpose of increasing the position of the company in the retail market of United Kingdom, and the partnership of ESB and So Energy is going to resulting in a business that will be serving more than 300,000 customers.

A spokesperson of ESB said, financial details of the deal had not been made public, as the information has commercially been sensitive and this has been the main reason why they are not in a position for revealing the details, and this acquisition has also been continuing the commitment of ESB for delivering the clean, affordable and secure energy to the customers of the company.

So Energy, based in London is going to be continuing to trade under the current and existing name of the country, with the company ‘ESB’ retaining 75pc of the new and combined entity, and Marguerite Sayers, executive director of customer solutions at ESB, said, the acquisition of So Energy has been another magnificent milestone in their businesses in the United Kingdom along with enhancing the company’s customer offering and potential of growth in the future.

Marguerite Sayers said, the customer centricity and commitment of So Energy to a future of low-carbon emissions has been showing their strategy and it has also been their intention for building on that success, and the company ‘So Energy’ has been using the in-house technology for providing solutions to the customers, which will be helping them to move to a low-carbon future.
