On Thursday, 1st July 2021, has announced its plans for the purpose of developing a new technology for the company’s autonomous delivery vehicles in the region of Helsinki, Finland. The technology company, which is headquartered in Seattle said, the company has been setting up a new development centre for providing support to the Amazon Scout, that has completely been electric autonomous delivery robot, which is being tested in around 4 locations in the United States.
The company ‘Amazon’ said, the two dozen engineers, which is going to be based at the Amazon Scout Development Centre in the region of Helsinki initially, and the company added that, they are going to be focused on the research and development. The company ‘Amazon’ said, one of their main targets of the company is going to develop 3D software, which has been stimulating the complexity of real life and also ensuring that, scout can possibly navigate safely while making the deliveries in the country.
Amazon also said, the team Amazon Scout in the region of Helsinki is going to grow over time, and now they are also going to hire the engineers, that are working at the forefront of the robotics and technology of autonomous technology.
The launch of the new development centre in the region of Helsinki comes around six months after the company ‘Amazon’ have reportedly acquired local 3D modelling company known as ‘Umbra’, that is also having the offices in the United States of America and also in the Asia-Pacific, and when asked, Amazon did not immediately respond for giving confirmation about the acquisition of Umbra.
