US and Canada Strengthens their Energy Partnership

The United States of America and Canada have been strengthening their bilateral relationship in terms of energy, and the energy sector of North America has been highly integrated, along with providing support to the workers and bringing the benefits to the economy to both countries.

Seamus O’Regan Jr., minister of natural resources and Jennifer Granholm, secretary of energy of United States of America, both have participated in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the co-operation of Energy, and the portions of both the United States and Canada of the North American Renewables Integration Study (NARIS) had also been released.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been a very important milestone in meeting the commitments of both the countries in the roadmap forma renewed partnership between Canada and the United States, and the partnership has also been highlighting the importance of the strategic collaboration between Canada and the United States of America, that has also been including the commitment for achieving the net-zero emissions by 2050.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) have been reaffirming their shared priority of a public-centred clean energy transition, that has been leaving no one behind. More specifically, it has also been increasing the bilateral co-operation on the equitable and sustainable energy transitions along with innovation in clean energy, low-carbon transportation and connectivity.

Canada has also been welcoming the release of the North American Renewable Integration Study (NARIS), which is the largest study of its kind, along with exploring the potential of increasing the transmission and integration of the clean energy across the region of North America.
