Ford Asks Dealers to Invest for Building Commercial Service Centers

Andy O’Donnell, working associate at Valley Truck Focuses and Valley Auto Gathering, which possesses three passage stores in Ohio, said he is wanting to construct two First class Business Administration Focuses.

The first, in Cleveland, is expected to open by the end of the year and will be between 55,000 and 63,000 square feet. It will have 30 help straights, as well as an expert instructional hub and cost between $8 million and $9 million to construct.

O’Donnell, who is a member of Ford’s dealer council, stated that his Cleveland location receives approximately 350 open repair orders each day and that he anticipates that the Elite center will double the store’s throughput.

Andy O’Donnell said that, when they look at the potential return, it is a small investment for a dealer. A 22-bay collision center, 26 service bays, and a 13,000-square-foot parts department make up the new facility. For the extended hours on weekdays, he now intends to add a second shift of workers. According to Chris Gulbrandson, the building cost $12 million, equipment cost $3 million, and land cost an additional $3 million.

Chris Gulbrandson stated that he has also observed an increase in the amount of repair work that fleet owners are choosing to perform, despite the fact that Ford does not require dealers to construct new collision centers as part of the Elite facility.

Chris Gulbrandson went on to say that people can see that in their parking lot because there are a lot of cars waiting to be fixed up. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and construction workers make up the majority. They can do more business if they can get to these cars quickly, which is beneficial to everyone.
