India’s Suryakumar Yadav Retain top Spot in T20I Batting Rankings

Suryakumar Yadav, a middle-order batter for the Indian Cricket Team has retained his top position in the ICC men’s T20I batting rankings issued on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, following his outstanding performance in the T20 World Cup 2022.

Suryakumar Yadav has become the No.1 T20I batter after a great performance in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup, where he got three fifties in his five innings. The consistent performance of Suryakumar Yadav has helped him achieve a career-best rating of 869 points.

However, his rating has dropped to 859 after he was dismissed for just 14 runs in the semi-final against England, and Suryakumar Yadav has managed to hold on to his position at the top of the list. Suryakumar Yadav has scored 239 runs during the T20I World Cup at an amazing average and a strike-rate of 59.75 and 189.68 respectively, and he also finished as the third highest run-scorer in the event.

England’s Alex Hales, who has scored an unbeaten 86 runs from 47 deliveries in the semi-final against India, and he successfully made a big jump and has climbed 22 places up to no. 12. Alex Hales has also finished as the second-highest run-scorer in the T20I World Cup, with 212 runs at an average of 42.40.
