EE North America to Develop 10-GW Renewable Energy Projects in the US

EE North America, a subsidiary of European Energy, announced its plans to develop 10 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy in the United States by 2026. European Energy, which is currently active in 26 global markets, is a recognized market leader in the development of wind, solar, and Power-to-X projects that can produce green hydrogen, jet fuel, and e-methanol.

Knud Erik Anderson, chief executive officer of European Energy, said that they are excited to expand their renewable energy project development expertise into the United States. European Energy sees the US as a critical market for solar and wind energy, with technologies such as Power-to-X that will be essential in decarbonizing the hardest industries in the economy.

Knud Erik Anderson added that their vision is to enable the transition to clean energy, and their ambitious investment plans for the United States are an important part of their journey.

EE North America has also opened a new office in Austin, Texas, to support its development pipeline in the United States. The company has also purchased more than 7,000 acres of land to develop its first solar energy project, including 1 gigawatt of solar capacity in Texas, and additional projects in the western region of the US.
