Elon Musk, chief executive officer of Tesla, said Tesla will increase the price of its beta software, which is an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), in North America to 15,000 dollars. This increase will come into effect from September 5th, 2022.

Elon Musk also said that Tesla owners can upgrade their existing car to FSD in just two minutes, and he did not say whether there will be a planned increase in the prices for the subscription option for the FSD, which costs 199 dollars per month.
This is not the first time Elon Musk has increased the price of the ADAS, and it probably will not be the last time. There are around 100,000 vehicles equipped with FSD, which is a number that appears to have remained flat in the first half of 2022. Musk said that the price increase will happen after the FSD Beta version 10.69.2 is widely released, and the newest version boasts upgrades such as improved unprotected left turns and a new deep lane guidance module for smoother lane switches.
