UK Lawmakers: Aviation Industry and Passengers Confused By Covid-19 Travel Restrictions

A parliamentary committee has ruled that, the decision-making process of the government of the United Kingdom in adopting the international travel restrictions during the novel corona virus pandemic had not been transparent or consistent nor based on the scientific consensus.

In a new report, the House of Commons Transport Committee has concluded that, the restrictions of the UK aviation has caused a serious financial shock to the aviation industry, and the actions of the UK government had been consistent and it has left the industry and the passengers has been confused and is unable for planning ahead.

This has also resulted in a serious economic deficit for the aviation industry, and thousands of the people has lost their jobs and many more passenger cannot visit loved ones. In the report, the committee has also set out the actions for the government for the purpose of supporting the recovery and development of the aviation industry, which is also including publishing an aviation recovery plan later in 1st June 2022.
