The company ‘Genesis’ has now officially confirmed that, the company’s Electrified GV70 electric SUV is going to be produced in the United States. The production of the electric vehicles at the Montgomery plant of Hyundai in the state of Alabama of the United States has been scheduled to start in the month of December 2022.
In the past, it had also been announced that, the production of the Genesis Electrified GV70 had to start in the early phase of 2022. Now with the production starting in the month of December 2022, the Electrified GV70 is not going to be first electrified model from the Montgomery plant, which Hyundai is already planning to start the production of the Santa Fa Hybrid in the month of October 2022.
The Electrified GV70 has not been a pure electric car like the GV60 which is based in the E-GMP, but it is an electric version of an internal combustion model. The Electrified GV70 had been presented by Genesis in the month of November 2021 at a car show in the country of China.
Jose Munoz, president and CEO of Genesis Motor North America said, they are pleased for bringing the Genesis production to the United States for the first time, and the Electrified GV70 SUV has been successful in winning the minds and hearts of the American Consumers along with the industry experts and they are very proud to start offering the consumers, the new electrified model, which is built in the United States.
