Volkswagen Delay Launch of ID.5 Due to Lack of Wire Harness from Ukraine

The company ‘Volkswagen’ is going to delay the launch of the company’s ID.5 battery-electric car by a month due to the disruptions in the supply of the wire harnesses that were coming from Ukraine.

A Spokesperson of Volkswagen said that, the sales launch of ID.5 has been postponed to the first week of the Month of May 2022 because of the disruptions in the supply of the wire harnesses.

With the war between Russia and Ukraine stopping the deliveries of the crucial parts of the car, the company ‘Volkswagen’ and the suppliers of the company have been scrambling for finding the solutions abroad, and according to the reports, the automobile company of Germany has still not been able for producing enough ID.5 electric vehicle for the purpose of getting the models into the dealerships for using them as display cars and show cars.

Ukraine has been one of the biggest suppliers of the wire harnesses across the continent of Europe that is essentially helping the company for grouping together the maze of the cables that are running through every car and is also known as the central nervous system of the vehicle.

According to the reports, the news of delaying the launch of ID.5 fully electric SUV has come directly from a letter that has been sent to the dealers from Volkswagen, and for ensuring that, all the partners have been treated equally, the vehicles that are at the destination already have also not been delivered.
