European Union’s Digital Covid-19 Travel Certificate to be Extended Until 30th June 2023

The Commission of the European Union is all set to extend the European Union Digital Covid-19 Certificate until 30^th June 2023, and the Commission of the European Union has also unfolded a proposal for the extension of the certificate for another year after the evaluation that, the novel corona virus has still been highly prevalent throughout the block, and also determining that, it has not been possible for ceasing the usage of the certificate as a means of travelling safe across the region.

According to the European Union, the extension of the regulation is going to be enabling to continue by using the novel corona virus certificate while travelling to the member nations of the European Union that is maintaining the restrictions of the entry.

Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety has now praised the certificate, which is asserting that, it has been facilitating the safe and free movement throughout the bloc that making the life of citizens of the European Union easier.

The European Commissioner said that, this very important tool has been key for the purpose of managing the risks along with supporting the measures of public health for the purpose of protecting the citizens during the novel corona virus pandemic. He also said that, they have proposed for updating the possibilities for making the use of the Covid-19 certificate for travelling across the European Union in order for the purpose of providing the certainty for their citizens as long as the needs of the public health has been persisting.
