The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States has announced the decrease in the quarantine period from ten day to five days for the people of the United States, who have been tested positive for the novel corona virus, and also for the people that are in close contacts.
According to the US CDC, the people, who have been tested positive for the novel corona virus should stay at their homes for the first five days, and the sixth to tenth day, the people that does have any symptoms or the symptoms are resolving can step out of their house by wearing a mask, and if the people have a fever, they have to continue their quarantine for staying at their homes until the fever get resolved.
According to the national public health agency of the United States, this been kept with the increasing evidence that, the people infected with the corona virus has been most infectious in the before two days and after three days of the developed symptoms.
The US CDC also said that, this change has been motivated by the science, which has been demonstrating that the majority of the novel corona virus transmission has been occurring early in the course of the illness, mainly one or two day prior developing the symptoms.
For the people, who are not vaccinated or the people, who have received the two doses of the vaccines more than six months before and are not boosted yet, they also have to be isolated for five days.
