EnerSys Partnered with US DOE’s Better Plants Program to Improve Energy Efficiency and Productivity in US

EnerSys, a global leader in the stored energy solutions for the industrial applications, has now announced its partnership with the Better Plants program of the Department of energy of the United States.

Patrice Baumann, senior vice president of operations at EnerSys said, the company is very proud for being a part of the Better Plants program of the United States Department of Energy, and the resource efficiency has always been a part of how they have been doing the business and embedded into their EnerSys Operating System, and they are now also looking forward for the enhancement and acceleration of their efforts in the partnerships with the US Department of energy along with the Better Plants partners.

The Better Plants program of the US DO has been working with the leading manufacturers across the country for the purpose of boosting the resilience and economic potential through the improvements in the energy efficiency. With the Better Plants, the manufacturers has also committed in setting the ambitious energy saving goals, along with developing the energy management plans and reporting and tracking the annual progress against the goals.

Becca Jones-Albertus, acting director of US DOE, Advanced Manufacturing Office said, the commitment made by the EnerSys for the purpose of improving the energy productivity of the US DOE by 25 percent for more than 10 years had established the company as a leader in the energy efficiency along with providing help in strengthening the manufacturing competitiveness of the United States.
