Health Department of US Launches Office for Climate Change

On Monday, 30^th August 2021, the secretary Xavier Becerra the Department of Health and Human Services of the United States has now established an office for the purpose of addressing the health equity and climate change at the national level.

The newly established office will be aiming to protect the vulnerable communities of the country disproportionately affected by the climate and pollution driven disasters, that has also been including wildfires and droughts.

He also said, there has not been any doubt that, the United States of America has now been experiencing the drastic climate change, and there has also been no reason for them for doubting that, they must take this on as early as possible, and it has just not been about the environment but it is also about the health of the people of the country.

Joe Biden, president of the United States has also declared major disasters and he has also ordered the federal assistance for the purpose of bolstering the recovery efforts in both the states, and Xavier Becerra have also declared the public health emergencies in the regions, and Joe Biden has also made the strategies for the purpose of tackling the crisis related to the climate domestically and internationally as key part of the agenda.

Joe Biden is now also focusing on reducing the emissions of the green house gases by 50 percent by the end of 2030 along with the reaching the target of net-zero emissions by the year 2050.
