Microsoft Plans Introduce Cloud Gaming Service on its Xbox Consoles

The technology giant ‘Microsoft’ is going to bring the company’s cloud gaming service to the Xbox consoles later in the year 2021, and on Tuesday, 24th August 2021, Microsoft announced that, the Xbox Cloud Gaming, that is letting the players to stream the games other then just having to install them onto a particular gaming device, is going to be arriving on Microsoft’s new Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series S consoles and also on the older Xbox One machines.

Several technology giants in the United States including Amazon, Google and Microsoft are now betting on a future of the video games beyond the gaming consoles, where the software and subscription services are going to be playing a greater role.

Even though the company ‘Microsoft’ is still heavily investing in the hardware of the Xbox, it has also been putting a great deal of focus in the Game Pass of Xbox, which is a subscription service that is responsible for giving the players the access to a library of more than 100 titles for around 15 dollars per month.

The concept of cloud gaming is where, all the games are hosted on the remote servers and they are also streamed by the users over the internet, has been a large part of the strategy of Microsoft, and the main aim of the cloud gaming is to attract the gamers to the ecosystem of Microsoft through a range of different gaming devices, and currently, the Microsoft Xbox Cloud Gaming Console is only available on the PCs and on the mobile devices.
