On Sunday, 22nd August 2021, the government of the United Kingdom announced the launch of a new antibody testing programme across the country, that is going to be responsible in making the free home antibody tests available for around 8,000 novel corona virus positive patients a day.
The Health Security Agency of the United Kingdom is going to be offering these antibody tests for the purpose of providing help in improving the understanding of the immunity against the novel corona virus from the infection and covid-19 vaccination, and under this programme, from Tuesday, 24th August 2021, anyone, who is over the age of 18 years is going to be able to participate when booking of a PCR corona virus test through the test and trace system of the UK NHS.
Sajid Javid, health secretary of United Kingdom said, their new national antibody testing program is going to be an easy and quick process to participate and by doing do, the people will be able to provide help in strengthening their understanding of the novel corona virus as they have cautiously been returning to a more normal life.
Sajid Javid also said, he has been very proud for seeing all the parts of the country for the purpose of uniting around the new initiative and also working together for arming themselves with some more valuable insights in how the novel corona virus vaccines have been protecting the people across the United Kingdom.
The collected data is going to be helping United Kingdom to estimate the proportion of the people who have corona virus in spite of developing the antibodies as a result of receiving a novel corona virus vaccine.
