The renewable energy company ‘Enerpower’ has been successful in opening what the company is claiming to be the single and largest solar energy farm in the region of Republic of Ireland, and developed in a joint venture along with Eli Lilly, a pharmaceutical company, the solar energy facility is going to provide help in the process of powering a significant proportion of the plant of Lilly at the company’s Dunderrow site along with the sustainable energy.
The solar energy farm is also going to produce around 5.6 megawatt of the power, which is going to allow the company Lilly for decreasing the company’s annual of the electricity from the sources of carbon by around 6 GWh along with the carbon footprint by 2350 tonnes.
The solar energy plant is consisting of 12,600 individual solar panels along with the cost of 5 million euros with the development that had been a joint between the companies Enerpower and Lilly, along with the company Enerpower receiving the support from the Sustainable Energy Authority of the country of Ireland.
The development of the solar energy plant mainly consists of the photovoltaic panels on a mix of the ground mounted frames with the ancillary cabling along with the electrical infrastructure, and Owen Power, chief executive of Enerpower, this solar energy development has been the largest solar energy development installation in the Republic of Ireland.
