Medical Groups in US Urged for Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccines for Healthcare Workers

On Monday, 26^th July 2021, several medical organizations and groups have urged for compulsory corona virus vaccines for the healthcare professionals as the continuously increasing corona virus cases along with the number of hospitalizations in the United States have threatened to reach the levels, which have not been seen since the month of January 2021.

On Monday, 26^th July 2021, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs have announced that, is going to require all the healthcare workers for getting covid-19 vaccine jab, as it has been the first major federal agency to dos so.

According to a joint statement, 57 medical groups in the United States have been urging the employers in the healthcare and long-term care services to require the employees to be vaccinated, and the signatories are also including the American Nurses Association, the Texas Nurses Association and American Medical Association.

The Texas Nurses Association said, the urban and rural areas are now seeing more positivity rates and more admissions in the hospital, and the rate of both areas has been increasing rapidly, and it also said, the hospitals are still recovering from the shortage of nursing staff in the place before covid-19 and they are now also dealing with the additional vacancies as the frustrated nurses are leaving the profession.

On 6^th July 2021, according to the data from the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council, the Dallas County had 350 hospitalized novel corona virus patients.
