Netflix Offering $385,000 to a Flight Attendant for its Private Jet

Netflix is looking for a flight attendant to work on one of its private jets. The successful candidate could earn up to $385,000 per year.

The huge streaming company says it’s looking for people with exceptional customer service and discretion skills. They should also be able to work independently and with little direction. Netflix cut hundreds of jobs in 2021 due to a decline in subscriber numbers.

The average salary for this position is between $60,000 and $385,000. Netflix stated in a job posting on its website that this market range is based on total compensation, which aligns with our compensation philosophy. Additionally, the company stated that “compensation factors” like an employee’s background, experience, and skills are considered when determining salary.

The Netflix Aviation division provides exceptional, private, and risk-free air travel. The advertisement added, “The team assists Netflix in reaching the world more effectively and efficiently so that the company can continue to create joy worldwide.” Prior to takeoff, the attendant on a “Super Midsize Jet” will inspect the emergency equipment in the cockpit, cabin, and gallery.

When loading and stocking planes, they will also need to be able to lift objects as heavy as 13.6 kilograms. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that flight attendants earn an annual salary of just over $62,000. When contacted by the BBC, a Netflix spokesperson stated that the company would not discuss the specifics of how it determines flight attendant salaries.

Additionally, Netflix is scheduled to announce its earnings for the third and final quarter of 2022. Netflix stated last year that it had increased its subscriber base by 2.4 million households in the three months ending in September, reversing a decline in subscriber numbers. After raising prices in key markets, the business revealed its first drop in paying customers in more than a decade earlier this year.
