CodeCatalyst is a new service from Amazon that helps developers build apps without having to deal with multiple codebases, environments, or tools. According to Amazon CTO Werner Vogels, CodeCatalyst, which is currently in preview and is based on the idea of blueprints, provides a single location where developers can create apps on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
According to Werner Vogels, CodeCatalyst makes it simple for app developers to switch between different environments. Vogels went on to say that users can use the integrated development environment as well as populate a project with code and dependencies.
As a result of the widespread shift toward digitalization initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic, app developers are under increased client demand to develop apps more quickly. In a survey of developers and IT professionals, 36% identified issues with digital workplace project management as one of the most significant obstacles for app developers.
In addition to the resources required to support the app’s delivery and development, the blueprints enable CodeCatalyst app developers to establish a scaffolding for their project.
The on-request, assemble foundation, and cloud-based dev conditions of CodeCatalyst expect to make it more straightforward for application improvement groups to oversee issues, following changes across code, pull demands, and delivery pipelines.
