Robert Downey Jr. bid farewell to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the movie Avengers: Endgame. Fans all over the world hoped that Robert Downey Jr. would return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, despite the actor’s repeated denials.
However, according to reports, Marvel is planning to bring back Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man through an upcoming movie, Avengers: Secret Wars. If Avenger 4 follows the 2015 multiversal story by Esad Ribic and Jonathan Hickman, it will take place in a new reality that has not been introduced before. This means that the new world will have an Iron Man, but whether Robert Downey Jr. will play the role of Iron Man is still a mystery.
According to the reports, Avengers: Secret Wars could also feature Morgan Stark, Tony Stark’s daughter, who was played by Katherine Langford. With the multiverse playing an important role in the MCU, anything is possible, and the MCU is reintroducing many characters such as Wolverine, and attempting to resurrect franchises such as Fantastic Four.
