Meta, DoorDash Partner to Deliver Marketplace Items in the US

Meta and DoorDash, an online delivery platform, that partner to deliver Marketplace items that are located up to 15 miles away in the United States. According to reports, DoorDash will only deliver items, which that are small enough to fit in the trunk of a car, and the drivers are expected to make the deliveries within 48 hours.

According to reports, this partnership will fill a gap in the existing local delivery options of Facebook Marketplace that only lets people get bigger items delivered through a service called Dolly.

The service ‘Dolly’ is limited to a little more than two dozen cities throughout the United States, and it lets users to connect with one or two helpers locally that will load bulky items such as bookshelves, refrigerators, or air conditioners into a pickup truck, and deliver them to the house of the user for a fee.

Apart from Dolly and DoorDash, Meta also lets the sellers in the Marketplace ship items directly to the address of a buyer. According to a report, it is still not clear how many users of Marketplace currently have the option for DoorDash deliveries and how much it costs.
