Red Bull To Build Hypercar Worth Around $6.1-Million

Red Bull is planning is to produce its own hypercar. On Tuesday June 28, 2022, the company announce the RB17, which is slated to be a two-seater hypercar coming with a hybrid V8 engine and 1,100 horsepower. The production of the hypercar will begin in 2025, with the company planning to only produce 50 cars coming at a price of 6.1 million dollars per vehicle.

The company will also maintain and service the acre for the owner at the Milton Keynes factory in England where, Red Bull is planning to produce the RB17. Christian Horner, chief executive officer of Red Bull Racing said, the RB17 is marking the first time that a car wearing a Red Bull brand, and is also available to the collectors.

Christian Horner said, the RB17 is distilling everything they know regarding the creation of the championship-winning Formula 1 cars in a package that mainly delivers extreme levels of performance in a track car of two-seats.

Adrian Newey, chief technical officer at Red Bull is designing the vehicle and his expertise includes the creation of Aston Martin Valkyrie and all four of the F1 championship-winning cars of Red Bull. Red Bull, said the RB17 will be built around a carbon-composite tub and a body, which is designed to take advantage of the ground effect such as the modern F1 cars.
