Volvo Car USA Experienced Continued Growth of Electric Cars in March 2022

The sales of Volvo electric and plug-in hybrid cars in the United States in March 2022 had been increased by 92 percent over the same period in 2021 with the 9,428 cars that has been overall sold in spite of the continuous supply constraints and several other industry challenges.

The electric and plug-in hybrid car models of the company has represented around 26 percent total sales in the month of March 2022 across the United States, which has been led by the company’s crossovers and SUVs. In the state of California, the sales of electric and plug-in hybrids had been up by 75 percent and accounted for over 54 percent of the total sales over same period in 2021.

The company has reported a total of 11,766 cars sole in March 2022, which has been down by 5.2 percent from the same period in 2021. The Volvo Car Canada had also seen growth of around 206 percent in the Recharge Sales and an overall increase in the sales of 0.5 percent year-on-year.

Over 60 percent of the car sales in Latin America had been of the electric and plug-in hybrid models, which has been a total of 3,598 models had been sold in the regions of the United States that has been representing around 30.6 percent of the total volume.
