Alphabet’s Wing To Start Biggest Drone Delivery Test in Texas, US

Wing subsidiary firm of Alphabet Inc., is all set for starting the largest drone-delivery test program till now in the United States in region of Dallas suburbs. The Wing LLC, which had previously announced the intention of the company to begin with the Texas deliveries in October 2021, has now obtained the permission for the programs from the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States.

The company ‘Wing’ is going to be selling the items from a store of Walgreens and is also working with the some other companies for the purpose of delivering the ice cream, along with first aid kits and pet medications as said by the company.

Several companies including Wing have been trying to remake the world of the retail sales by using the small drones for the purpose of delivering the products to the homes of the people. But the routine drone deliveries have still been years always because of the regulations from the United States that currently does not permit some of the technologies like the robotic flights that has been envisioned by the companies.

Adam Woodworth, chief executive officer of Wing company said that, this has been an important milestone for the company and also for the drone delivery in the United States, and the deliveries are going to be available for the people living in the regions near Dallas in Frisco and Little Elm. The company also said that, it has surpassed around 200,000 deliveries earlier 2022.
