Cases of Bird Flu Increases in US

The federal health officials of the United States have closely been watching high and lethal type of bird flu that has been devastated poultry farms along the East Coast and the Midwest in the recent weeks. There have been no signs that, the strain of the avian influenza has been posing a danger to the people yet, but the experts are now on the lookout for the potential mutations of the corona virus that can possibly make it more of a threat.

Even though the risk to the humans have remain low, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States said it is going to be monitoring the people, who have been exposed to the domestic and wild species that are infected with H5N1, which has been a highly pathogenic avian influenza virus that has been spreading easily among the birds.

According to the data from the Department of Agriculture of the United States, since the month of February, the H5N1 virus had been found and detected in the commercial and backyard flocks in around 17 states and it has also been making it the worst outbreak of bird flu since the year 2015 when around 50 million birds had been killed and died.
